A downloadable game for Windows

Since I haven't developed a game in ages and had to relearn from scratch, I decided to do a simple puzzle platformer. The theme of Built to Scale is seen in the ability to scale the map to a specific size by a button press, so that the player can see all elements on the screen at once to help them decide where to go and which switches to press.

The goal of the game is to control Boxy (creative names are not my forte) and navigate the singular level split into 4 sections by traversing through multiple doors and using switches to either enable or disable platforms/walls,all in order to get a key to bring to the exit door.

Controls:

A, Left - move left

D, Right - move right

Space - jump

W, Up - interact with (aka go through) doors

Z - scale the map

If you enjoyed the game, you are free to challenge yourself on a replay, by limiting your use of scaling out the map, as well as aiming for a faster completion time, as the game is timed and displays your completion time at the end! I have also attached an answer key for anyone who needs any hints!

Credits:

The gray background and the tileset for the foreground/static platforms were from this this Power Station Free Tileset found on itch.io.

Everything else art-wise (or development-wise) was done by me using Piskel (very handy in-browser sprite editor, I must say).

Can't say I'm completely jazzed with my final product, but its playable, it gets to the end, and considering this is my first GMTK game jam, I am content.
